Annapolis Newborn Photography | Maternity to Newborn Baby Story | Paint The Stars Photography

Let me first say Happy Holidays!  I hope you are enjoying this magical time of year.  Christmas in Maryland is gorgeous.  We even had some snow over the last few weeks.  FUN!

Today I wanted to share with you a beautiful baby story.  This is the story of baby Sebastian.

I first met with Victor and Yohana (Sebastian’s mommy and daddy) back in October for their maternity photography session in Baltimore, MD.  It was a gorgeous day filled with warm sunshine and fall colors.

I was waiting for them in the garden area of our location and then Yohana came around the corner and my jaw nearly dropped to the ground.  She was so stunning!  I couldn’t wait to start creating some magic.

As we walked around the park we had the best time.  We laughed and joked and I posed Yohana probably a million times.  I was trying to make the most of photographing a beautiful woman in a beautiful location.  As an Annapolis Maternity Photographer I like to cease the moment and make the best of it!  She was so sweet and patient with me.  She reminded me of another client I had back in summer.  Kathy’s maternity photography session was another one that was full of color and fun.

Yohana told me how she spent all of her time dreaming about her baby boy.  She could not wait to become a mommy.

Then it came time for baby Sebastian’s arrival.  Yohana said everyone was so happy to meet him.  Her family was head-over-heals in love with the new baby.

When Victor and Yohana brought their new son to my newborn photography studio I was in awe.  It was the beginning of the holiday season so we had Christmas lights up and the moment just caught me.  He was so little and cute!  Being a mom of 4 I know how quick these moments slip away.  We just need to soak up their tininess before it goes away!

I chose to style little Sebastian’s Annapolis Newborn Session around dark blue and neutral colors.  I had a couple of brand new outfits from Your Spot LLC that I couldn’t wait to use for this session.  I especially wanted to put my brown newborn romper with the pocket in the front on little Sebastian.   He did wonderfully with his little hands in the front pocket.  How cute!?

For baby boys I love to pose them on anything grey.  I just think it looks so strong yet soft if that makes any sense.  So when I was planning this session I of course grabbed my adorable little grey knit wrap from Eco Street.  It looked so cozy laying across little Sebastian.  I used this same wrap for another little boy’s newborn session back in June.

Just like I said before in Nora’s Newborn Session Blog Post, I love to use cream and ivory shades for my setups.  Baby Sebastian’s session was no different.  That’s the great thing about using these colors.  They are great for girls and boys.  You can use them for anyone!  Check out the way I used brown, cream and ivory on these two setups during this newborn session.

Since it was the beginning of the holiday season we of course needed to add a little bit of magical Christmas lights.  Yohana looks so happy with her brand new baby, doesn’t she!?
