I’m so excited to be writing again. There was a period of several months where I was having MAJOR technical difficulties with my blog. I ended up having to delete everything and restore the whole thing. It was a big rigamarole. Through the slow and cold season I sat for hours trying to figure out an already complicated topic…Well, complicated for me. For most bloggers it was probably an easy fix lol.
Then spring hit and I got busy again and gave up on the whole ‘blog fixing’ shindig. Because, after all, I had TONS of editing to do. But, every so often I would think to myself: “Amanda! Go fix your dag on blog!” Then some time would go by and then again I’d think: “Amanda, you’re paying to have a blog and it even shows up on your website, go fix it!” lol..Still, I knew the amount of time it was going to take to sit there and try to figure it out and I wasn’t ready to go down that road.
I don’t know about you other mommas out there but when you’re trying to run a business from home and you have a pre-schooler and a baby, some business things tend to get sent to the back burner. I’m definitely not proud of how long it takes me to blog and work on my website but I just want to be honest. I’m also selfishly hoping that other work-from-home mommas share my struggle!!!
…Can I get an ‘Amen?!?!?!…
Finally after hours of work and a few phone calls (and a couple of “Is having a blog really even worth it” thoughts) I was able to fix it! Hallelujah!
So now, without further ado. Here is your first Paint The Stars Photography Blog post. Even though this blog has been around for a few years now! HA!!! I’m sorry, I just need to laugh to myself about that last bit of info.
Now, what kind of gorgeous photography photos can I show off on this first post?…
Oh, I know! One of my favorite kinds, photos of my own kids!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Here are some photos from a recent session I did of my girls at a DROP DEAD GORGEOUS location in Baltimore, MD.
Can you believe dream-like locations like this even exist? I got butterflies in my tummy when we pulled up. There was so much to work with here!!!!
I hope you enjoyed these photos as much as I do. I already have these printed all over my house. I have a pretty framed 11×14 photo of all the girls together. I also printed giant 16×20 metal prints of each of the smallest girls and put them right in my living room. My teens loved posting their photos all over their Instagram accounts. We just love doing photo sessions 🙂
On another note, I must say…even through making this post I ran into like 5 technical difficulties AGAIN! BAHHHHH! It took way longer to do this than I intended. And now as I’m preparing to publish this post my 1 1/2-year-old is trying to pull my computer’s power cord out of the wall.. Man, so many obstacles lol!! That makes this post even more special, the odds that it had to overcome to even be in front of you at this moment…phew…lol…it’s a frickin’ miracle!
Thanks for visiting my blog 🙂 I can’t tell you how much I GREATLY appreciate the support. You can look forward to weekly posts all about my life as a photographer, blogger and most importantly a mommy 🙂
